Professional Experience

Hera Evolution team can count on the expertise of Andrew M. Garlick to manage the company’s U.S. division. From April 2013, the latter is the Chairman of Hera Evolution USA. His role? He works at the sales and business development level. He works in collaboration with Jean Guilbault and Pierre Lapointe of Hera Evolution Canada. He is also one of the partners of Hera Evolution USA

He is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Garlick Group, a consultancy firm specializing in IT governance management, complex systems implementation, project and program management, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to forming "The Garlick Group", he was Senior Vice-President, Business Systems, for WPP Group USA. He was responsible for the policy development and oversight of financial, HCM, and other business systems in North America for all the WPP Companies. He also served as the Group’s main Chief Information Officer (CIO) for WPP's Specialized Communications Group and WPP's Digital Group. 


He is also involved in several global initiatives such as the assessment of WPP’s IT infrastructures and costs at a global level, including the consolidation and outsourcing of WPP’s IT infrastructures, HR service and payroll systems.

Before that, he was Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Young & Rubicam, Inc.  His expertise? Managing from one end to the other a project pertaining to a complex business system. He gained his experience by working with major best-selling systems such as Oracle, People Soft, Microsoft Dynamics, Exacts, Lawson and Netsuite.

He has the reputation of designing and implementing systems that meet the needs of users. He is also an expert with perfect knowledge related to business data management tools.

He has been in the Advertising and Media industry for 25 years, working for Campbell-Ewald in Detroit in the 80's, and joining Young & Rubicam in 1993 as IT Director for North America.

He spent the first half of his career in Finance, including Treasurer of the University of Detroit and Controller of Campbell-Ewald Co, where he built and installed a number of financial systems. He then made a switch from finance to technology.

He is also expert in the non-profit sector. In addition to the 10 years he spent as Head Treasurer at the University of Detroit, he has served on numerous boards and was instrumental in helping the CYO Archdiocese of Detroit and the Michigan Performing Arts (Youth Theatre).  He has volunteered for several organizations including the United Way for Southeastern Michigan.

After his daughter was afflicted with a serious emotional disorder, in 2001, he founded the non-profit organization "The Family Support Organization of Bergen County" which provides education, support, and advocacy to parents and caregivers of children with mental, emotional, and behavioral problems. He is recognized as a powerful advocate for the family voice in Children's Mental Health, and has received a number of awards for his work in this area.

In addition to having an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Detroit, he also has a BA in Philosophy from the Sacred Heart Seminary and holds an MA in Classical Literature from Wayne State University and and holds a Certificate in College Business Mgmt. from the Univ. of KY.  He is both a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Human Resources Information Professional (HRIP).
