Recognized as a leading authority with regards to IDMS database management, the senior advisor Laura Rochon is surely an expert in her field.Not surprisingly that she is President of the Quebec Committee of IDMS Users, since 1996, and Vice-President of the IDMS User Association since 2004. She was in fact President of this international association, from 2002 to 2004.
Passionate about her work, she is only to delighted to support customers with the CA IDMS systems and help them make better use of this product. She works as much at the database management level than at the technical support of development teams.
Stress is no issue to Laura Rochon. On the contrary, she uses it as a motivating factor to perform. Adapting easily to tight deadlines, she has no difficulty in managing several projects at the same time.
Her extensive experience with the CA IDMS product is certainly an undeniable advantage for her customers. She in fact possesses 30 years of experience in this field. She loves this product which is, according to her, the best database management system. Having worked with various customers, she is easily able to solve different types of problems. The product no longer holds any secrets for her!
As means of sharing her knowledge, she gives courses to database developers and administrators.
This senior advisor began her career at Montreal Trust where she held the position of database administrator. She then worked at the francophone technical support and the customer support, at Cullinet. Later, she worked for Gespro, Compuware and Ajilon as a software consultant.
When she chose to work at Hera Evolution, she actually followed his boss Pierre Lapointe, because she knew that finding a great boss is not easy.
Far from contenting herself from already existing knowledge, Laura Rochon attends the CA Technologies’s conference every 18 months to improve her work skills in addition to occasionally acting as a host.
